No Time

“I can’t be everything to everyone. This deal is just too big. We have a nanny for a reason, and she’ll just have to cope. Frankly, they’ll both just have to cope. The team put me in charge of this, and there’s too much at stake. I need to take this meeting, and when I’m done, I’ll go home. This deal could be my big break, and I’m a little tired of Nicole earning more money than me. If I can score this deal, then the commissions on this will blow away her income for the year,” thought Will.
And, with that, Will turned off his cell phone and practically sprinted into the conference room. Instinctively he knew that if he left it on, either Suzie or I would be calling, and the guilt of seeing our phone numbers on his screen would be too much. However, by turning it off, he wouldn’t know a thing. Ignorance is truly blissful. Besides, this way he can concentrate better. No buzzing on his hip to distract him from showing the team his astounding knowledge and sparkling vision on how to close this sale. He was in his element and he wasn’t about to let it slip through his meaty fingers.
